In the early summer of April, I traveled to Hannover, Germany, to visit the industrial fair, experiencing a poetic journey within a “parallel spacetime.”
Hannover, in northern Germany, is both a world-renowned exhibition capital and a veritable green city. This city deeply integrates prosperous development with ecological protection, covered by forests, fields, and waters. Walking through Hannover is not only a scenic tour but also an environmental journey to understand low-carbon development and experience the harmonious coexistence of humanity and nature.
As the city rail travels alongside the fields, the towering windmills, green wheat fields, and tranquil houses feel like the “Valley of the Wind” from a Hayao Miyazaki film. Snow remains on the distant mountains, clouds hang like curtains, streams gurgle through the meadows, and soft dandelions cover the hillsides….
The architectural style of Frankfurt Central Station is simple and beautiful. A station billboard features an image of a woman reading; in such a bustling downtown, she holds a book, eyes slightly lowered, reading peacefully.
Reading in silence, free from the noise of the world….
Following the crowd toward the platform, a pigeon stood alone on the tracks, looking around with self-assurance, unafraid of the people. As I watched it intently, it suddenly took flight, reaching the height of the station roof in an instant. That moment of spreading wings was the very image of ease and freedom…
Architecture and beauty are reflections of the soul; the sparse foliage, the cool moon resting on a branch, and the leaping animals all harmonize as one.
How fortunate we are to coexist in this space with all these elements of nature…
Humanity is the leader of all things; nature is our place of origin, as well as the source and final destination for all living beings…
Why not coexist and flourish together…
